The Residenz
one of the most important museums of its kind in Europe, the
building is a work of art in itself. This was the residence and
centre of power of the Bavarian kings, dukes and other royalty
for more than 500 years.
Inside the Residenz, The Antiquarium, built in 1570 for the antique collections
of Duke Albrecht V, is the largest and most grandiose renaissance hall
north of the Alps.

Schloss Nymphenburg
this stately baroque castle in the west of Munich was constructed as
a summer residence for the Bavarian electors. Inside the extensive castle
grounds, with its beautiful parklands, important collections are housed
including: Kind Ludwig I’s “Schönheitsgalerie”
(a collection of portraits of Ludwig’s ‘favoured’ ladies
of the day), the birth room of the king, the festival hall and a collection

 Munich-
Bavaria Statue
18 metres high and made from around 78 tonnes of ore retrieved from sunken
ship’s cannon, this Patroness of Bavaria reigns over the Theresienwiese,
site of the wild annual Octoberfest. Tourists can climb to the top of the
structure from the inside for a magnificent view of the city. Munich’s
‘gracious lady’ was created by Ludwig Schwanthaler in 1843-50

 Munich-
Königsplatz, home of the Glyptothek and the Antikensammlung
a unique classicistic square, this complex emerged as one of the chief works
of King Ludwig I. Once a marshalling ground for National Socialist marches
and parades, the square is now a green oasis in the university district.
The Glyptothek lies on the northern side of Königsplatz and houses
an outstanding collection of Greek and Roman sculptures. Directly opposite

 Munich-
Olympiazentrum (Olympic Park) and the Fernsehturm (TV tower)
a 2.8 square kilometre Munich complex with numerous sporting sites and facilities,
restaurants, the TV tower (Olympiaturm) as well as expansive lawns and an
artificial lake. The hills surrounding the complex were constructed from
the rubble that remained following the decimation of the city during the
Second World War. The sporting halls and stadiums were created for the 1972
Summer Olympic Games. Today the park is a popular leisure area, offering
an abundance of sporting and recreational activities as well as open-air
concerts and outdoor displays of all types

Viktualienmarkt
Munich’s largest fruit and vegetable market already looks back on
a long and illustrious history. This traditional-style market has a reputation
for offering a wide range of local and exotic produce, giving it its own

 Munich-Asamkirche
the brilliant legacy of the Brothers Asam. This church is a masterwork
of late baroque architecture and presents a heady joyful decor.
Built up from rough-hewn stone, the brightly coloured façade
with pillars and sweeping gables arches gracefully above the street.
Behind the façade and anteroom, the church opens into an inner
chamber revealing an extravagant hall, yet at the same time achieving

 Munich-Frauenkirche (Women’s Church)
with its two striking ‘onion’ domes this gothic city and
parish cathedral is an unmistakable Munich landmark. The architecture
is impressive, particularly the two towers which reach a height
of 99 metres at tip of the domes. A spiral staircase leads to the
top of the southern dome, offering a spectacular view of the city
and the nearby Alps

 Munich-Peterskirche “Alter Peter“:
Munich’s oldest church is steeped in history and shrouded
in legend. A number of important works are to be found inside,
including the gothic “Schrenk” altar from the year 1400,
the baroque baptism stone of Kumpur as well as the Rococo style
side-alters by Ignaz Günther.
In good weather the view from the top of the tower is a
must. After conquering the 302 steps, visitors experience a lovely view
of Munich, as well as the Alps on a clear day; S 1 – S 8, Bus 52,

Munich-
Sendlinger Tor
one of Munich’s three remaining city gates - your gate to the
old town, and only 5 minutes walk from EASY PALACE. The gate is a remnant
of the second fortification of Munich under Emperor Ludwig “the Bavarian”
and was constructed around 1318. It was the point of entry for traders

  Munich-
Bavaria-Filmstadt (Movie Town)
one of the largest and most successful film and TV studio complexes
in Europe. The 320,000 square metre site was the shooting location
of such well known television and film successes as "Marienhof",
"Das Boot" (“The Boat”), "The Neverending
Story", "Asterix and Obelix versus Caesar", and
features entire street-sets and movie-world mansions. Other attractions
include the 30-minute Bavaria Action Show, in which Stuntmen and
women give an insight into their dangerous profession, and a ‘Showscan’
movie theatre, complete with automated seats that synchronise
their movements to suit the on-screen action.

 Munich-Tierpark Hellabrunn
the Munich Zoo was established in 1911 as the world’s first GEO-Zoo,
and is nestled harmoniously in the landscape surrounding the river Isar.
The animal enclosures were created to resemble natural habitats and at
the same time provide visitors with a close-up experience free of fences,
bars and cages.
Apart from the usual suspects - lions, tigers and elephants – you’ll
have the chance to meet: free range squirrel monkeys, phosphorescent forest
scorpions, free flying falcons, a bat grotto known as “Villa Dracula”
and hunting tree frogs... a leafcutter-ant raceway complete with micro
