Munich- Deutsches MuseumMunich-Deutsches Museum für Wissenschaft und Technik (German Museum for Science and Technology)
with a floor space of 50,000 square metres, one of the largest – and most visited - museums in the world.  In this ‘Mount Olympus’ of scientific knowledge the laws of nature, technical devices and scientific procedures are presented in a scientifically accurate yet thrillingly entertaining way. Machinery whirs, flashes of light arc through the air and telescopes close in on distant solar systems. With a philosophy of hands-on interactive learning the complex amazes approximately 1.3 million people each year, and has been helping visitors to gain a comprehensive basic knowledge of science and technology for almost 100 years.

With its new Verkehrszentrum (Transport Centre) the Deutsches Museum has introduced a unique concept to the world. For the first time individual objects and technologies can be considered in terms of their systematic and cultural relationships, transport systems represented as a network. Attractive historic exhibits stand alongside new technologies, creations and displays that offer new and unusual insights into the transport world of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Munich-Alte (Old) PinakothekMunich-Alte (Old) Pinakothek
one of the oldest and most important painting galleries in the world, this museum holds more than 800 master works from European artists ranging from the Middle Ages to the late Rococo period. Works include those of Tizian, Frans Hals, Rubens (one of the largest collections of his work worldwide), Altdorfer, Dürer,…  The gallery building, a legacy of Leo von Klenze built in 1836, is widely regarded as an architectural masterpiece. Munich-Neue (New) PinakothekMunich-Neue (New) Pinakothek
Exceptional works of European painting and sculpture ranging from the late 18th to the start of the 20th Century are to be found in the Neue Pinakothek. A focal point is an exhibit of 19th Century German art - this collection, dating back to the private collections of King Ludwig I, is one of the most extensive of its kind. It includes works from artists such as Caspar David Friedrich, Wilhelm von Kaulbach and Hans von Marées.
